EVALUATION OF ABUSERS’ TREATMENT IN WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS CENTERS

Background and Aim: In this study the total number (n=1500) of abusers were evaluated in Tabriz/ Iran welfare organization clinics. Then Mean±SD ages of them were (47±25). 98% of study populations were male and the rest of them were female. 90% of them had consumed methadone syrup. 70% of them had consumed sublingual 0.2mg buprexin tablet. The Mean±SD volume of daily doses of orally methadone syrup consumption were (70±65) ml. Also Mean±SD the history methadone syrup consumption were (8±4) years in this study. They often consumed of the other following drug abuse such:Heroin-Morphine-Codeine-Cannabis-Methadone-Tramadol-Buprexin-Amphetamine-Alchohol-Methamphetamine-MDMA-Ecstasy-cocaine-Phencyclidine- LSD…..too. Also they had used other medication such: BNZ, TCA, MAO, Vitamins, Minerals,Anti hyperlipidemia and anti-hypertension and antipsychotic drugs,anti-cancer… under supervision of clinics physicians. So the Mean±SD of history consumption of their other abuse drugs were (32±20) years.Methods: All data collected and were analyzed by t-test and one way and two way Anowa Turkey, and P < 0.05 was considered significant to study population.Results: The total rapid strip tests of their urine and blood samples of them were positive in duration of their treatment. 1.5% of abusers had renal failure or liver damages. Also some of them had anemic and heart failure.Conclusion: The results of this study showed that statistical evaluation of abusers and collection of theirs management data help to finding of their suitable treatment under supervision of their physicians in welfare organization clinics.
