Abstract:

Doxorubicin is a common drug used in variety of cancers that due to its cardiac complications, there are limitations in its use. In this study, a modified electrochemical nanosensor was used to detect Doxorubicin. In the design of this sensor, Aptamer, a single strand DNA (with 80 oligonucleotides) and silver nanoparticles, were used to modify the surface of gold electrode. Differential pulsed voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry were used to perform electrochemical studies. The results of the experiments were also studied in human serum and plasma. In the electrochemical results obtained by performing a differential pulsed voltammetric method at concentrations between 1 and 10 μM for doxorubicin, the detection limit was equal to 0.53 nM. Due to the high sensitivity and high precision of the nanoaptasensor designed for the specific diagnosis of doxorubicin in biological samples, low of cost and ease of use, it can be used for various medical purposes.
