Abstract:

Introduction: Every year, drug and chemical poisonings lead to present Poisoned patients to the emergency department and being treated resulted complications lead to death. The global problem of poisoning caused by pesticides annually leads to 300,000 deaths. These organic compounds are extremely resistant and Due to high lipophilic quality are able to enter the food chain. The levels of this group of pesticides in blood and adipose tissue are measurable. The potential hazards of long-term exposure to low levels and chronic toxicity this group of pesticide have been addressed by FAO and WHO.In this study, Variables were age ،agent of poisoning time of poisoning, time of death and the complications resulting from death .Extraction of pesticides was carried out by QUECHERS method, then using SPE solid phase HLB cartridges. In this cross-sectional and retrospective descriptive study, a method was developed to isolate chlorine pesticide, using QECHERS method for extraction of pesticide from body fluids and tissues and GC/MASS was used to identify pesticide. The most common cause of sudden death related to drug poisoning and the second most common cause of deaths is due to accidents and the highest number of deaths belonged to the age group of 15 to 19 years. The number of recorded deaths were 75 cases (19 female,56 male) the youngest case was a four-month-old {33% seizure} and a 17-year-old woman and the eldest case was a 74-year-old man.The highest DDT residues were found among women with a concentration of 39.14 μg / kgAldrin with a median of 0.662 μg / kg was observed only in the age group of 19 to 25 years and was respectively 408.0 and 779.0 μg / kg, respectively, in men and women
