Abstract:

Oilseeds are one of the most valuable crops in the agricultural sector; rapeseed is one of the major oilseeds in the country which has attracted the attention of farmers in most parts of the country. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the economic performance of rapeseed in Maku Free Zone (Poldasht County) in 1977. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive-survey method. The statistical population used in this study is all rapeseed in Poldasht city with a population of 252 and the data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. The results show that specialized consulting, providing services and support organizations, private sector investment, product recognition, credit and banking facilities have a significant positive impact on rapeseed s economic performance. It is therefore recommended that the competent authorities support the canola farmers by providing classes and providing expert advice to increase farmers understanding of canola production and to help improve the quality of the crop in question. Increase production and facilitate exports, thereby providing the incentive for more investment by the private sector. Banks and financial institutions are also providing credit and facilities to farmers and providing them with the financial resources they need to increase production.
