Abstract:

Background:Triple trials have been available since the early 1980s as Down syndrom screening tests and neural tube defects during pregnancy. Quadruple tests are performed on the 20th to 15th week of pregnancy. These tests include triple markers and Inhibin A marker. Research has shown that abnormal levels of quadruple markers are helpful in anticipating side effects of pregnancy and several studies have shown that there is a significant correlation between abnormal levels of quadruple tests and early delivery, Preeclampsia, Pregnancy Blood Pressure, Restriction of Intrauterine Growth and Premature Rupture of Embryonic Curtain Methods: This longitudinal study was performed on 240 pregnant women who underwent quadmarker testing in the second trimester of pregnancy in 2016-2017 (from September 2016 to August 2017). Information on pregnancy and labor was followed up and recorded on a checklist and all statistical analyses were performed using Stata V.11 software. Results: The study found that among the four trials conducted during pregnancy, the UE3 test was the best predictor of the rejection of fetal death. AFP also has the best performance both for diagnosing abortions and detecting LBW. On the other hand, three trials of AFP, HCG, and inhibin are effective in diagnosing PTL during pregnancy. In this study, UE3 = 0.265, AFP =1.765, Inhibin = 1.245 and AFP = 1.415 respectively, had the highest sensitivity and specificity in predicting fetal death, abortion, PTL and low birth weight. Conclusion: The predictive power of these tests was not excellent, but it can be said that they are a good predictor of the outcomes of the mentioned pregnancy
