Abstract:

Introduction: Comparing the death rates of a particular cancer in a population at different times, regardless of age groups, leads to a false conclusion. The purpose of this study was to calculate of specific age mortality rates due to Women Brest Cancer in West Azarbaijan province in 2012 and 2013 Materials & Methods: In a cross-sectional study, referring to the province mortality registration data and using Direct Age Adjustment, specific age mortality rates was calculated Results: The mortality rate in 2012 and 2013 was 4.5 and 4.7 per 100,000 people respectively.In both years, the mortality rates was higher in older age groups.The highest risk of dying from brest cancer in 2012 was in the age group 45-59 years (17.2 per 100,000 people( and in 2012 was in the age group of 80 and older (31.57 per 100,000 peopel) then was in the age group 60-69 years (20.8 per 100,000 people(. The results of the incidence rate of death in 2012 and 2012 are 2.66 and 3.2 respectively. if Treatment for cancer patients was successful, This ratio will be higher. The amount of this ratio in Iran is 2.85, in the Eastern Mediterranean region (EMRO) is 2.12 and 2.48 in the whole world Conclusion: The Mortality rate due to Brest Cancer in the province was significantly higher than from previous years and was higher than the Eastern Mediterranean region. The age distribution is lower than the world Therefore, the use of Screening & downstaging programs at secondary prevention levels is essential
