Determination of sex and gonadal development of Siberian sturgeon, Acipenserbaerii using new and less aggressive endoscopy method was the aim of this study. Inthis research, 23 Siberian sturgeons (7 years old) were analysed from Guilan ShahidBeheshti Farm, Iran. The survey was performed using endoscopy and histology toconfirm the data. The sex identification by endoscopy was precise which histologyconfirmed it with 100% accuracy. Our results suggested that endoscopy is an efficienttechnique for sex identification at different ages and determination of gonadaldevelopment stages in Siberian sturgeon. Correct performing of this method in sexidentification and gonadal development stages can help reserving of these valuablefish.
