خلاصه مقاله:
The project deals with the definition of simulation in the area of industrial engineering, its practical usage and benefits for industrial companies. This study was conducted in a WTS production line. The main target of this research is increasing the production rate of the line in order to meet the continuously increasing demand for its product within the existing limited space in the plant. After controlling the line several bottlenecks causing sever congestions in different areas on the production line were found. An Arena Simulation model was developed and used to resolve all bottlenecks found on the line. A practical solution for increasing production rate can also optimize utilization and reduces congestions, process time, production price, number of workers, lengths of transmitter line, space plant and most of the queues at all production stations. Experimental results have confirmed 100% increase in production capacity.
