خلاصه مقاله:
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the seismic performance of a new innovative structural system known as hexagrid in combination with the bundled flexural panels within a high-rise building. These hexagonal cells are located at the periphery of the building plan and withstand both gravity and lateral loads. Implementing the structural configuration of bundled tube system may have a significant effect in the seismic performance of the hexagrid structural system. To assess the effect of using this skeletal configuration in a high-rise building, two models of 20-story skeletons, including a bundled tube system and another a hybrid configuration of bundled flexural panels and hexagrid tube have been studied. The structural seismic response parameters have been obtained by conducting a series of non-linear dynamic time history analyses using SAP2000 software. The assessment of this research results denotes that the hybrid skeletal system of hexagrid and bundled flexural modules is an applicable innovative resistant mega-framework which would cause efficient and better distribution of lateral loads among the basic elements of the entire structure. Furthermore, obtaining minor stress ratios in members’ section is the more useful advantage to achieve the more economical structure
