The use of electric vehicles (EVs) has become common among people due to rising gasoline prices on the consumer and international cooperation for reducing greenhouse gases emission. Beside these economic and environmental benefits, extensive use of electric vehicles may causes several problems for power distribution system. These problem can effect on power quality supplied to all electrical consumers. In this paper after introduction of different common kind of EVs in present market, and expression of different charging strategy, the most important impacts of electric vehicles on power grid is reviewed. Also some recent research related to this field are presented.
