خلاصه مقاله:
Several springs having significant discharge, emerge from a restricted area of Ilam limestone of Patagh anticline, located in the Alvand basin of Kermanshah province. The catchment area of springs extends to the Asmari formation, despite the existence of shaly-marly Pabdeh-Gurpi formation between Asmari and Ilam formations. Physico-chemical characteristics, water balance and especially isotope signature of water samples of springs denote to the water supply from Asmari formation which is situated in a high elevation. This hydrogeological relationship is established through a fault occurred in the northern flank of the Patagh anticline. This case study implies that just the name and the lithology of a formation cannot be representative of hydrogeological behaviour of the Formation
