Stem cells are known as cells with self-renovation and regenerationof various tissues, and they are classified according to their ability todifferentiation. In recent years, stem cell research has become muchbroader, and a promising prospect for refractory diseases has beenoutlined. The current abstract is about the potential for stem cell usein liver and gastrointestinal disorders, as digestive diseases have asignificant impact on the general health of the community. Althoughthe recent studies encourage the use of stem cell therapy in somegastrointestinal diseases, especially on Crohn s disease, it seems thatfull clinical application of these cells in other gastrointestinal diseasesrequires a more comprehensive elaboration.
