Abstract:

The effects of salinity and VAM fungi on prolin and chlorophil content of tomato plant(c.v.Sun 6108) studied. Seeds of tomato were germinated on sand in stril condition with Johnson nutrient solution up on three mounth. Seedlings were inoculated with a VAM fungi(Glomus versiform) or left non inoculated as control respectively,(G1,G0) in a pasteurized sand. Four levels of salinity (0,2,5,7 ds/m) respectively,(Ec1,Ec2,Ec3,Ec4) as NaCl and two P levels (20,40 mg/Kg)respectively(P1,P2) as KH2PO4 was applied to the sand on transplanting. Statistical analysis indicated that salinity had significantly effect on chlorophil a (p<0.05), Rcp(Root colonization percent), prolin concentration of leaf, stem and root(p<0.01). Prolin concentration of root, stem and leaf were increased by effect of salinity. P had significantly effect on Prolin concentration of root, stem and also Rcp(p<0.01), . Enhance of phosphorus, decreased Prolin concentration of root and stem. P* Salinity (p<0.01), and G* Salinity (p<0.05), significantly effect on Prolin concentration of root. Intraction effect of salinity * G and P*G had significantly effect on Rcp(p<0.01).
