Abstract:

Due to the global challenge of climate change and the scarcity of energy resources, researchers have been thinking of ways to increase the efficiency of the systems as well as replacing fossil fuels with clean and renewable fuels. Concurrent production systems are highly recommended because of their high efficiency. The use of co-generation systems to generate heat and power (CHP) has been around for a long time. The first co-production system may be considered more than a century ago. But triple co-generation systems used to generate heat, cooling and power (CCHP) are newer systems. In the present project, a numerical simulation of a two-storey prototype building with an area of 100 m for each floor in Ahvaz was investigated. The number of occupants in the building was assumed to be 10 people, and the standards of cooling load and hot water consumed for the building were calculated according to existing standards. The building was also designated for the use of cooling energy. The highly advanced PolyScan software was used to numerically simulate the building.
