APPLICATION OF VORONOI DIAGRAMS IN CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN

Voronoi Diagrams and Delaunay Triangulations are two concepts fundamental to computational geometry that exist in nature and, have been applied in the most varied disciplines. In recent years, they are increasingly used in architectural design and urban design. The research method of this paper is descriptive-analytical, and Voronoi diagram and its general characteristics and usage areas in different disciplines were referred by reviewing and examining of different projects. Finally, the use of Voronoi diagrams in the architectural design process has been evaluated through an experience of architectural project course.
