Abstract:

In this paper, a low-complexity method is proposed for signal detection in uplink massive multiple-input-multiple- output (MIMO) systems. In the proposed method, unlike other detection methods in massive MIMO, the detection is performed at the lowest computational cost. In our proposed method, inverse matrix calculation, which is required for minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) detection, is performed for a limited number of users. Then the calculated inverse matrix is only updated by adding remaining users one by one. Therefore, without the need of matrix inversion calculation in large dimensions, detection of received signals of all users is done. The computational complexity analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method have the low computational complexity beside a very close performance to the conventional MMSE detector
