Abstract:

This study aims at investigating the role of user satisfaction on work performance considering the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study develops conceptual model that links user satisfaction with work performance of training unit of Shahid Beheshti University. The main contribution of the present study is that user satisfaction in Information Systems Management must be taken into account since it is positively associated with work performance considering the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. In other words, if user satisfaction is neglected by the managers, their work performance will reduce and it is in contrast to the main mission of Information Systems.A questionnaire has been designed as data collection instrument. Using the convenient sample, 258 questionnaires were distributed to the employees in the training unit of Shahid Beheshti University. The quantitative method has been adopted in the study such as descriptive analysis, regression models and hypothesis testing methods.The findings showed that user satisfaction has a positive and indirect effect on job performance considering the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. But this effect isn’t significant in a direct way.
