Abstract:

One of the noticeable points for maintaining the reservoir productivity is to increase the efficiency ofproduction by the removal of formation damage. Improving the production and decreasing the skin bydissolving the formation damage and creating new pathways around wellbore are the most importantgoals of matrix acidizing. Before any acidizing treatment several investigations of different operationare executed by simulator program. Here in this work these investigation are performed by anengineering software named StimCADE that involves various modules to make up a complete matrixstimulation deign. In this paper two wells of Iranian reservoirs are studied by this method and the besttreatment design is presented for each reservoir. In the carbonate reservoir the acidizing analysisspecified that the best option for main treatment is HCl 28%. In the sandstone reservoir the analysisshows that the optimum mudacid concentration is 1.5%HF-7.5%HCl.
