Abstract:

Here in we report a simple method to create gold nanoparticles coated-double silica shells using a three-step process in which pulselaser ablation of a metallic gold target in an aqueous solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone and calcination at high temperature respectivelyfor achieving of Au@SiO2@SiO2 nanoparticles with narrow size distribution is conducted. The final structure showed 26%conversion in aerobic oxidation of cyclohexane to adipic acid with the 92% selectivity in mild conditions. Further, the catalyst savedits activity through six cycles without any major loss.
