Abstract:

Photocatalytic techniques have attracted much attention due to their potential applications in water treatment, air purification and sunlight utilization [1]. Polyoxometalates are efficient photocatalysts for the degradation of organic dyes [2]. In recent years, polyoxometalates (POMs) have attracted particular interest in photocatalysis due to their strong Bronsted and their structural properties [3]. In this work, phosphotungstic acid modified titanium dioxide nanotubes was prepared with efficient photocatalytic capability under solar light irradiation. The nanoparticles shows the highest photocatalytic activity for rhodamine B (RHB) degradation. The effects of various experimental parameters have been investigated on the decolorization of RHB.
