Abstract:

Tetrazoles constitute a very important class of organic compounds playing a significant role in the medicinal chemistry, material science, propellants, as ligand in the coordination chemistry [1] and also synthesis of N-containing compounds and bioactive molecules as effective antitumor agents, peptidase inhibitor and antihypertensive drugs [2,3].A novel magnetic copper(II) complex bearing aminotetrazole ligand has been successfully fabricated via directly anchoring and immobilizing the structurally defined 5-aminotetrazole with a long tail ((3-chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane) onto the polystyrene (Ps@Tet-Cu(II)@Fe3O4) and used as a magnetically recoverable catalyst for the efficient synthesis of N-aryl-N-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl) benzenesulfonamides for the first time from the [2+3] cycloaddition reaction between various N-cyano-N-arylbenzenesulfonamides with sodium azide in high yields. The structure of Ps@Tet-Cu(II)@Fe3O4 was perfectly characterized via XRD, FESEM, EDS, TEM, TG/DTG, VSM and FT-IR analyses.
