Surveying and classifying of Ichthyological scientific data on internet

This study carried out to collect and classify scientific data resource of Ichthyology(European concept: all aspect of science related to fish) including journals, societiesand useful websites which are available through internet. Search strategy was basedon Googling related Keywords, using 67Tscientific database like JCR, 67TThomsonReuters, and Wiley and so on, finally by asking professional researcher inIchthyology field. In total 138 websites including 23 related societies, 10 data sourceand 105 journal website (15 journals especially in field of ichthyology and 90 relatedones) identified. The identified journals were classified based on different indiceslike impact factor, publisher, location of journal office, inauguration date and theirarticles subjects. The result showed that current related journals to ichthyology havebeen inaugurated within 1800-2013 years which considerable number are related to200-2013. The range of impact factor for ichthyological journals was 0-1.8, alsoEurope continent, England and Wiley Blackwell Publication have more proportionin ichthyological journals publication. Based on the collected data 13 journal, 3societies and a few number of database related to ichthyology were identified in Iranwhich revealed new and recent trends of ichthyology science in Iran.
