Muslims, like followers of all religions have rules about food and beverages. Someof these commands are specified directly in the Qur an, such as the opening verses ofAl-Maeda. 48TIn addition the directly received commands from the Quran, muslimshave other narrative source48Ts 48Tthat the Qur an commentator namely essence of greatProphet of Islam48T. 48TExperts stated that the scales or sequala on fish and aquaticorganisms as protective48T and 48Tin the absence of scale of pathogenic microorganisms,toxins and chemical pollutants are entered into their bodies, and also it is proven thatbody of the non-scaled fishes is more penetrable to radioactive rays compared tofishes with scales or may be have another reason. The religious scholars discussed onimpermissibility of eating marine animals and criterion of being halal to be scaled.Some fish, such as sharks and sturgeon until the early decades due to lack of scaleson can be considered inedible while the growth of the fisheries science, to existenceof scale in these fishes was confirmed. In this article, we tried to the introduction ofinedible and edible fish relying on scientific and religious topics and their history inIran and new finding in fisheries sciences.
