Abstract:
The structure of the spleen is considered as species- specific .Hematopoietic.organamong fishes. In this investigation, ten Brown-banded Bambo sharks(Chiloscylliumpunctatum) were sampled from the Darvish Creek at the north part ofPersian Gulf. The spleen samples were removed and immediately fixed into Bouin’ssolution. Histological sections of 5 micrometer prepared and stained withHematoxylin and eosin. The light microscopic observations showed that most part ofspleen tissue of Brown-banded Bambo shark consists from rich erythrocytes red pulp. The white pulp tissues were well developed and contain lanphocyte.Melanomacrophage in all parts of the spleen tissue was observed indicatingImmunoglobulin locus and red pulp formaton in splenic.
