Abstract:
Directional drilling is the process of directing the well bore alongi some trajectory to a prdetermined target. Motivation of the early drilling of directional wells was econimics and offshore field development is where majority of wells are drill derectionally 5 defection tools is these tools croate deviation in well bore ; whipestock , jetting bit , mud motor , stablizers and turbine. the NAS/DS ( non-rotating adjustable stabilizer controls curvature rate by precisely adjusting the radial externsion of the stabilizer blades on a near bit non -rotating stabilizer . the closed loop control process corrects for the secondary effects caused by formation characteristics, bit and tool wear , and manufacturing to lerances. the downhole trajectory control is proveded by the directional solution TM software package. this novel tool calculates the optimum 3-D circular are path needed to hit the directional and / or horizontal targets.
