Abstract:

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have obtained increasing attention as a kind of novel electrode materials. They show excellently electrochemical performance, which is attributed not only to the favorable paths for charge transport due to the presence of free pores and the increased specific surface area of the material. A carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with Ni MOF nanoplates (NiMOF/CPE) was constructed. Subsequently, the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine on fabricated NiMOF/CPE was studied. Experimental results confirm that under optimized conditions, the maximum oxidation current of glucose occurs at ~133.3 mV in the case of NiMOF/CPE that is around 143.3 mV more negative than that observed in the case of the unmodified CPE and about 1.1 times increase was observed for the oxidation peak current. The analytical approach was obtained by differential pulse voltammetry in accordance with the relationship between the oxidation peak current and the glucose concentration.
