Abstract:

Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) is a series Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) controller with plan of power flow control on a line by injecting a voltage in series with transmission line. These devise need to one controller to inject one controlingl voltage to it. In this work, a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) has been designed for SSSC damping control system and applied to a Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) power system. This controller uses the fuzzy inference system for implementing of the FLC with two input, rotor speed deviation and derivative of the rotor speed deviation, as the two dimension of the fuzzy look-up-table. This model leads to a controller with simple structure, with 49 rules, and improved correctness, damping stability and dynamic performance of the SSSC-based system controller. System implementation is so easy such as the look-up-table and requires one 7*7 fuzzy array of two inputs. In order to demonstrate the controller ability to its work is simulated and compared with that of other classic Lead-Lag-based controller
