Abstract:
At disaster times such as earthquake, the reliability of road networks becomes more crucial as the flow of relief logistics must traverse immediately from one terminal node to the other, i.e., from one neighboring city to the affected one. In this paper, we propose a new approach for disaster road network reliability (DRNR) estimation under one terminal node disruption, that is quite in the context of mathematical theory of reliability. We proposed a new heuristics called the Bottom-Up (BU) approach for solving DRNR models. The Tehran-Karaj road network connecting two provinces of Tehran and Alborz is built to illustrate the working logic of our new BU approach.
