Novel cadmium sulfide/organic composite based on long nanowires were synthesized via a simple reaction between cadmium salt and thioglycolic acid (TGA) at room temperature. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra and Thermogravimetricdifferential thermal analysis (TG-DTA).
