Abstract:

A new polyethersulfone (PES) microfiltration (MF) membrane, modified by applying metal-organicframework (MOF) was designed and prepared based on phase inversion method. The membraneshydrophilicity was evaluated by using water contact angle (WCA), the membranes permeability wasexamined by pure water flux (PWF) and also, the flux recovery ratio (FRR) calculated. Modifiedmembranes showed acceptable enhancement after introducing additive to the membrane matrix (the 0.1 %wt. was chosen as optimal modified membrane). Also, the prepared membranes were tested during theoily wastewater filtration (different oil concentration, 300 and 500 ppm). Furthermore, the membraneantifouling properties were significantly improved.
