Abstract:
Lack of attention to process safety management systems is the main factor of numerous events that are happening in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, each year. Likelihood of fires and explosion are two major hazards associated with chemical process industries. It is necessary to study explosion and fires together with their consequences. Therefore, the radius of fire, explosion or release of toxic materials, play an important role in dealing with emergency incidents. To analyze the dispersion of release toxic and flammable material, there are some models like PHAST, ALOHA, SLAB and DEGADIS. Consequence analysis is an important part of many corporate process risk management systems. Whole aim of this study is consequence assessment of Gas leakage occurred at the critical Inlet pipeline system of Dalan Treatment Plant (DTP) by PHAST Software. High pressure (more than 120bars), make the estimation of probable explosion consequence more important. Every accident may cause serious damage to personnel, loss of production and major financial loss
