[C12MeIm][OMs] Highly Effectual Catalyst for the Reaction of β-Ketoesters with Aryl Aldehydes and Thiourea

In this research, 1-Dodecyl-3‐methylimidazolium methanesulfonate[C12MeIm][OMs] was employed for the synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)- thiones. The present approaches have several advantages compared with the literature in terms of one or more of these factors: yield, time, easy work-ups and the reaction media.‎
