Abstract:

Nitrogen doped Graphene Quantum Dots (N-GQDs) are a recent and an effective carbon nano materials which can be used in synthesis of heterogeneous catalyst. Functionalized and modified of these nano materials with organic layer, nanocomposites and etc. can be improved their properties especially such as catalytic activity, recyclability, thermal stability and so on in organic synthesis. At this work, a three-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and 4-hydroxycoumarin has been achieved in the presence of CuO/ZnO@N-GQDs@Pr-NH2 nanocomposite as highly effective heterogeneous catalysts to produce of chromenes. The catalyst has been characterized by FT-IR, SEMand XRD. This new heterogeneous catalyst is demonstrated to be highly effective in the synthesis of chromenes. Atom economy, reusable catalyst, low catalyst loading and high yields of products are some of the important features of this method.
