Abstract:
Fatal and non-fatal accidents in construction industries are issues of prevalence. These accidents impose lots of losses to construction companies and bear macroeconomic ramifications in greater scales of analysis. Hence, abiding by the predefined standards in Health, Safety, Environment and Ergonomics (HSEE) systems is vital for construction companies. This study uses a novel fuzzy multi-attribute approach for assessing the performance of HSEE systems benefiting from fuzzy Z-numbers. The proposed approach is implemented in two large construction companies in Iran. In addition to the performance assessment of each company, the reliability of the calculated performance scores are also analyzed by assessing the experts’ confidence levels about their given scores to the performance indicators.
