Abstract:

Maximizing recovery from oil/gas reservoirs is of the most important jobs of petroleum engineers. For this aim conventional stimulation methods were implemented during years; But including different defects – e.g. high expenses, dangers for human and environment – make petroleum engineers to investigate for a cost saving and better HSE regarding methods. Applying ultrasound for cleaning industrial apparatus was performed for years. Hence they extend use of High-frequency Acoustic Wave into removing near wellbore damages caused by drilling and unwanted precipitations. The main goal of this study is reviewing the effect of acoustic stimulation on oil production and comparing it with conventional methods
