Abstract:

In today's complex world of innovation, the relationships between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction and also between IT flexibility and information system success in organizations especially in Iran remain a key topic of concern among managers and employees. Emotional intelligence (EI) and IT flexibility has been proposed as important predictor of key organizational outcomes besides being influential in job satisfaction and information system success Emotional intelligence (EI) and IT flexibility play an important role in the process of innovation. This paper is focuses on innovative subjects in the domain of educational organizations of Iran. In this paper, job satisfaction and information system success as mediator variables is concluded as playing a vital role and impact the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction as well as the relationship between IT flexibility and information system success between managers and employees. In the current study, emotional intelligence and IT flexibility as independent variable, innovation as the dependent variable and job satisfaction and information system success were implemented as mediator variables. The dimensions of emotional intelligence in this paper included: (intrapersonal, interpersonal, stress management, adaptability, and general mood), while the dimensions of IT flexibility included: (hardware compatibility, software modularity, network connectivity, and IT skills adaptability). Data (N = 200) for this study were collected through questionnaires filled up by managers and employees of the educational organizations of Iran. The methods for collecting data were library, field study, and assessment through Questionnaire. The content validity of the research was approved, and structure and facial method and measurement permanency validity were assessed through method of Cronbach’s Alpha 5 by (5.9560). The assessment hypotheses of the research were analyzed by the formulas and analyzed via Kendall’s coefficient. On reviewing the literature, it showed that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and innovation when job satisfaction was the mediator of this relationship. Also, the literature review showed that there is a positive relationship between IT flexibility and innovation when information system success served as a mediator of this relationship. Additionally, the results from various studies emphasized the need for organizations to use job satisfaction and information system success as mediator to consistently monitor the relationship between emotional intelligence and IT flexibility with innovation. The aim of this paper was to assess the relationship among emotional intelligence, IT flexibility, innovation, job satisfaction, and information system success. The researcher concluded that emotional intelligence and IT flexibility due to job satisfaction and information system success play key roles in improving innovation between managers and employees in educational organizations of Iran.
