In order to determine the adaptation and evaluate of terminal drought tolerance in 25 bread wheat lines/varieties in five experimental field stations: Zabol, Ahwaz, Dezful, Darab and Iranshahr for one cropping seasons (2005-06) two experiments were conducted: 1-Full Irrigation (FI), 2- Terminal drought stress (TDS), using alpha lattis design, with two replications. These lines/varieties had been selected from PRWYT- Drought (2004-05) in warm and dry regions of country (ZONE II). Based on simple analyses variance, grain yield (GY), thousands kernel weight (TKW), yield index ratio (YIR), and Susceptibility Drought Index (SDI) for GY and TKW and some agronomic characteristics selected superior lines. Lines NO, 2,4,5,10,15 and 20 had higher up mean grain yield, 5.392,5.367,5.108,5.226,5.238.and 5.418 ton/ha, in TDS condition respectively and also TKW of these liens were, 29,35,36,29 and 31 gram, and YIR of these lines 11,11,5,8,8, and 12 percent were superior than mean grain yield population ( mean of grain yield 25 liens). In final, these six lines based on, GY, TKW, in TDS and FI conditions and some desired agronomic characteristics and resistance to leaf and yellow rust were selected to be studied in the Elite Regional Uniform Yield trail drought stress.
