Evaluation and comparison of seed yield and some agronomic traits on sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) varieties in Qhom provinceBy: A.Kochehbaghi Sunflower cultivation increases in Qhom and central province recently. Therefore we conducted a seed yield comparison experiment for first time, with 10 cultivars included 6 hybrid varieties (1-Azargol, 2-Golshid, 3-Euroflor, 4-Proleic, 5-Allstar, and new combination Hybrid 6- CMS60/52*R-43) and 4 Open-pollination (7-Record, 8-Armavirsky, 9- progress, 10-Zaria) varieties. The Record was control treatment in this experiment. Analysis variance results, in first year showed that: all traits included seed yield, oil percent content, 1000 seed weight, plant height and head diameter were significant (Table 1). Azargol, and Progress yielded more than Record, but oil percent content of Record (49.7%) was high (Table 2) . and Azargol 1000 seed weight(63.2Gr) was more than Record (Control treat.), but it has not significant differences with Record. Allstar, Euroflor, Proleic and Golshid had low height and it is desirable character. In second year also all traits included seed yield, oil percent content, 1000 seed weight, plant height and head diameter were significant(Table 3) Azargol (3976Kg/ha), Armavirsky (3618Kg/ha), and Euroflor (3776Kg/ha) yielded more than Record (2682Kg/ha).Oil percent of Azargol was the highest value, but has not significant differences with Record value. 1000 seed weight of Azargol, mavirsky, Golshid, progress and Euroflor were more than Record value (Table 4). After two years the combining analysis was conducted. Treatments effect for seed yield per Kg/ha, oil percent content, 1000 seed weight, head diameter, and plant height were significant (Table-5). Interaction effects (Treat.*Y) for seed yield, 1000 seed weight head diameter were significant differences. Its showed that: these characters will be changed in different years.The highest value of seed yield belongs to Azargol (3587 Kg/ha) and then Euroflor (3262Kg/ha), and Progress (3232Kg/ha). Azargol oil percent content (50.1%) has higher value but it not significant with control value. Azargol 1000 seed weight was 60.6 gr. It was higher than Recrod and significant different in 1% level, and.
