The biggest of defect of wastewater treatment systems, after producing smell is the waste sludge production. The excess waste sludge production causes abundant disturbance of environmental biological in the case of wastewater treatment, particularly activated sludge systems. The laws of environmental biological disagree with producing of excess waste sludge. Sludge disposal will cause a lot of expenses. In the some systems put on digestion sludge tanks for this ideal in the final of treatment systems, that this causes lots of cost, time, energy and the force of human. Finally, there are problems like much volume, transportation, illnesses and the place of Sludge disposal. As a result of Minimization of Excess Sludge is the important point that we must consider it. Eliminating this problem will need to do the application studies. The aim is minimized the volume of air demand, the rate of producing sludge and the cost of doing programs. The introduced model in this study will do parameters optimization of wastewater treatment with using activated sludge process. Optimization will do with Hooke-Jeeves method. The correct operation of system means to reduce the volume of effluent solids from secondary sedimentation tank as compared with influent flow. The rate of produced sludge relates to parameters like the reactor volume and cell residence time. The optimum quantity of these parameters will calculate with Hooke- Jeeves method. The remarkable reduction in the rate of sludge (biological solids) production shows the validity of model in the optimization of wastewater treatment, the correct operation of system, the lowest capitalized cost and a high efficiency for using in the activated sludge systems.
