Study the Role of Case Studies in Architectural Education

Case studies are one of the methods used in the design process. There are different opinions about the impact of case studies on student education. While some see this as a factor in enhancing students' creativity, some believe that previous cases are the only grounds for imitating ideas, not for creating new ones. The present study attempted to evaluate the students' use of previous cases during a qualitative study. Therefore, in this study, the researchers tried to study different perspectives in this field. In summary, it can be concluded that the majority of previous research has pointed to the effectiveness of case studies in developing creativity and their need for consideration in the design process and it can have a positive role in education, student workflow and final product quality.
