Abstract:

Introduction: Sacrococcygeal Teratoma is the most common congenital benign tumor with talent of malignant transformation during embryonic period which happen one in 25 thousand and/or one in 40 thousand live births. In only 15% of patients this disease is along with other anomalies. In the present report, saccharocutric tratoma is along with meningomyelocel. Introducing the case: The patient was a newborn girl (one day) which was the result of nonrelative marriage, and born suffering Sacrococcygeal teratoma along with myelomeningocele. In the fourth month of pregnancy, ultrasound diagnosed the cyst and surgical intervention was suggested for baby after caesarean. A pile with approximate dimensions of 20 × 20 cm having soft and watery texture was found in the Sacrococcygeal area of baby. In CT scan of the pelvis, also, a big pile with approximate dimensions of 8/5 × 12/5 cm containing gross fat and Hayprdns parts (teeth), and calcification was found. It also showed a large cystic component in the form ofexophytic in the Sacrum’s lower anterior containing the pre-sacral (pelvic intra) component which was indicative of type 2 of Sacrococcygeal teratoma. Chest X-ray and ultrasounds of the abdomen, pelvis and brain did not show any problems. After successful coccygeanectomy and surgery, Sacrococcygeal Tumor excision, the newborn was discharged after two weeks of hospitalization with medicinal order and without special effects. Results: given that, many birth defects can be diagnosed by medical ultrasound before birth، therefore giving special attention and precision to this issue is necessary for the early diagnosis of these defects، especially rare and uncommon nes such as Sacrococcygeal Teratoma and myelomeningocele.
