Abstract:

In today’s competitive world, having competent managers with high managerial and scientific abilities is necessary for every organization; for their timely and proper problem-solving skills and decisions gives a special credit to any organization. Hence, development of logical methods is highly vital and considered to assess the ability of individuals in the processes of recruitment and directors’ performance evaluation. The present study aimed to evaluate the middle manager’s performance in case study organization by using the integrated DEAHP approach that has been applied as one of the fair performance appraisal techniques completely based on each manager’s productivity with considering middle managers as DMUs (Decision Making Units) in the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model. Therefore, initially the pairwise performance of the individuals according to DEA approach was calculated using software LINGO۱۷.۰.۶۰. . Thereafter, prior to the results by solving the models, a pairwise comparison matrix formed by which the managers’ complete ranking of the units was conducted. The results indicated that among ten available units, the managers of “Income/salary”, “Insured affairs” and “Enforcement” units were ranked first, second and third, respectively. Indeed in this survey DEAHP approach hasbeen proposed as a method of Middle Managers Performance Appraisal (MMPA) techniques inrelated to every organization vision, mission and values. So it also can be used for assessing seniormanagers.
