Human nature is created in such a way that it has many abilities, and these abilities are not possible without the connection with natural beauties. As centers of human activity, cities have no choice but to accept the structure and function of natural systems in order to regulate their sustainability. Therefore, in addition to the functional dimension, green buildings can contribute to the development of the city and the optimal use of fossil fuels. Green buildings are a group of places and buildings that use the best principles of material design, systems and technologies to provide a smart, responsive and efficient environment for residents, owners or operators throughout the life of the building. Compared to traditional buildings, green and smart complexes are able to significantly reduce energy consumption, maintenance operations and service costs.Smart buildings are one of the main pillars in the management of urban resources and the realization of the electric municipality. This article aims to use descriptive-analytical methods and library studies to draw the attention of designers and architects to green buildings and replace them with current buildings in order to reduce the use of fossil fuels and help urban development.
