Experimental Investigation of Local Scour Below a Piggyback Pipelines Due to Steady Currents

A piggyback pipeline consists of two pipelines are laid out together with arrangement of the small pipeline established exactly over the large pipeline. This new type of submarine pipelines has been steadily embrace to improve the security and rendition of submarine pipelines in engineering. So far, few experimental researches have been published on the scour below a piggyback pipeline under steady current. This study experimentally investigates the scour of the piggyback pipelines underneath steady current. The effect of gap between the main and small pipes, on the maximum scour depth are examined and mentioned well.
