Abstract:
Lateral loads cause remarkable damage to structures like wind load in tall buildings. Studies have showed more tensions in the end wings of shear walls. In this study, 30-story and 50-story concrete buildings with square plans were modeled; these two models are moment-resisting frame with end wall and moment-resisting frame without end wall. These structures were subjected to wind load by the Etabs 2016 software. The maximum drift decreased by 50% and %36 in 50-story and 30-story buildings, respectively. The maximum displacement declined 47% and 32% in 50-story and 30-story buildings, respectively. Therefore, these ratios indicated suitable performance of end wall under wind load
