Abstract:
The present research was carried out to compare meta-cognitive beliefs and responsibility in male and female students at Islamic Azad University. Method of this research was causative-comparative. The statistical population consisted of all undergraduate students at Islamic Azad University South Tehran Branch that a sample of 400 individuals was selected through multistage cluster sampling that 196 individuals of them were male and 204 individuals were female. The questionnaires of meta-cognitive beliefs and responsibility were used to collect data. For analysis of the parameters of descriptive statistics such as frequency, mean and standard deviation scores as well as for inferential statistics, multivariate analysis of variance tests were used. There is difference between the components of meta-cognitive beliefs in males and females; also there is difference between the components of responsibilities in males and females. The results indicate the importance of meta-cognitive beliefs and responsibility in both genders.
