Abstract:

Bacterial Cellulose (BC) has some unique physicochemical propertiesof critical importance to make a porous network with countlessnanoparticles and medicines to achieve an efficient wound dressing. Inthis research, Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs)/ Silica nanoparticles (SiNPs)/ Silk Fibroin (SF) nanocomposite was synthesized, and two novelwound dressings BC-CQDs/ Si NPs/ SF nanocomposite and PVACQDs/Si NPs/ SF nanofiber were prepared by Spray Printing andElectrospinning methods and successfully characterized. The Wateruptakecapacity of BC-CQDs/ Si NPs/ SF nanocomposite has beenoptimized to evaluate its swelling behavior. To determine theantibacterial effects of synthesized materials MIC was performed, andresults imply that materials have high antibacterial activity and couldsuccessfully inhibit the growth of both S. aureus and E. coli bacteria. The PVA-CQDs/ Si NPs/ SF nanofiber is a promising wound dressingfor inhibiting bacteria growth and promoting skin wound repair and hairregeneration.
