Abstract:

In this project, the simulation of the Ammonia production plant was accomplished by Aspen Hysys V10 based on the Haber-Bosch process for 1000 kgmole/h of feed. A case study was conducted to find the optimum temperature and pressure of the reactor inlet stream. The diagrams of conversion and Ammoniaproduction rate versus temperature and pressure were drawn. Altogether, the optimum pressure and temperature were determined 318 bar and 109.7 ℃, respectively. The other case study investigated the solvent amount and the stages of the stripping column. The results indicated the optimum stages werefour steps with a solvent amount of 2100 kg/h.
