Abstract:
In this paper, using a new multi-objective optimization method, reactive power compensation is presented based on optimal and simultaneous capacitor and D-STATCOM allocation in radial distribution networks to reduce power loss and voltage deviations. First, based on the Power Loss Reduction Factor (PLRF) to reduce the search space, candidate buses to implement reactive resources are selected. Then the optimal location and size of capacitor and D-STATCOM as reactive power sources are determined using the Multi-Objective Improved Golden Ratio Optimization Algorithm (MOIGROM) algorithm, which is an inspiration by the Fibonacci series, based on the objective function of the problem and the compensation and operation constraints of the network. The Golden Ratio Optimization Method (GROM) has been modified by using inertial weight to avoid being trapped in local optimum and to enhance global search.
