Abstract:
Chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is a necessary process to reduce oil saturation in pore spaces. There are fourtypes of cationic, anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric for surfactants. Proper selection of these surfactants based onreservoir conditions is a challenging task. Phase behavior, wettability alteration, adsorption, lowering IFT, andcontrolling the mobility are factors for surfactant implication. The aim of this study is the evaluation of theseparameters for chemical EOR.
